Jalandhar, December 22, 2014: Deputy Commissioner Kamal Kishor Yadav said that the District Administration has formulated a plan to provide special coaching to the students of Senior secondary residential school for meritorious students at Jalandhar, so as to prepare them for the entrance exams for professional colleges and institutes at all India level.
``Efforts are being made to provide the students special coaching aiming that these students would fully prepare for entrance exams to get admission in reputed institutes or universities of the country in the streams of their utmost interest.
He said Under the plan the faculty of one of the best institutes which would be selected for the task to provide special coaching to the students and administrative authorities are making constant efforts to start these coaching classes as soon as possible.`` said Deputy Commissioner.
He also disclosed that a guidance cell has already been established at Meritorious School for making the students aware of various courses in various streams so that the students can choose options for their career in advance. As per available information with cityairnews.com as many as 342 poor and meritorious students have been getting education in their respective streams at Senior secondary residential school for meritorious students at Jalandhar, the institute established by the Punjab Government with progressive aim to provide quality education to the poor and meritorious students who have secured 80 percent or above marks in Matriculation Examination to continue their studies in Medical, Non-Medical and Commerce streams in class 10+1 and 10+2 levels free of cost.
Yadav further revealed that out of total 342 students 245 are girl students and 97 boys who are being imparted with education matching the standards of this highly competitive era.
K.K.Yadav said that meritorious school at Jalandhar was established by the state government with the purpose of providing quality education to the students with a view to train them for entrance exams of professional colleges and institutes at all India level. He also said that time to time the personalities who excelled in their respective fields are also introduced to the students in order to motivate them. Besides qualified teaching faculty the institute has the facilities of modern classrooms, hostel and other facilities.
