DMCH Medico brings laurel by participating in various National Level Sports Competition

Ludhiana, June 20, 2017: DMC Medico- Soumiya Ravi of MBBS Batch 2015 recently represented Chandigarh (UT) in 22nd Senior Football Nationals held in Phagwara and came out with exemplary sports performance. Earlier in the year 2015, Soumiya had participated in 21st Senior Football Nationals held in Gurgaon and was well appreciated by the organizers for her outstanding performance in the matches.

Before her admission to DMCH, Soumiya had played in Asian Cup Qualfier at Jordan an Sri Lanka as well and represented Indian Football Team in ‘under 16’ category. Born to parents Capt V Ravi and mother Dr Premalatha, Soumiya has been a great sports aspirant right from her school days. Though she always had a die-hard desire to be in the medical profession but her passion for sports could not fade away while pursuing medical studies. Soumiya feels thankful to her family members and teachers who always inspire her to raise to a higher level in her professional field and passion field.

Principal Dr Sandeep Puri and Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina lauded the efforts of DMCH students Soumiya Ravi and said that more and more Medicos should come forward to participate in athletics and sports as it inculcate in them the spirit of healthy teamwork and to perform well under pressure
