ECTOPIA-2017 entered second day

Ludhiana, February 7, 2017: Three-day cultural festival ‘ECTOPIA-2017’ today entered its second day with exciting performances by the students, which received huge applause from the faculty and students as well. In his address to the students, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri said that building a different and confident personality is important in today’s competitive era and that is the reason that all students should participate in this extracurricular extravaganza.
Yesterday evening, the function got started with ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Ja’ segment in which participants gave solo dance performances by tapping their feet to various hit Bollywood and Punjabi numbers. ‘Group Dance’ performances by various batches added vibrancy to festivities. The day got concluded with ‘Inter-batch Bhangra’ competition which filled the air with rich and energetic culture of Punjab.
Events held today morning include- ‘Bol Baby Bol’ in which the participants were made to speak extempore for full one minute on an image depicted on the screen, ‘Bol Baby Bol’ segment showed the creative instincts of participants to speak on any given topic without a hint.. In Vaad- Vivaad (Debate) programme, the students spoke in favour of and against the topic ‘Should Pak artists be banned in India?’
In the ‘Ad-fads segment’, the students conceptualized and enacted an advertisement based on a humorous concept of product/services.
The day got concluded with ‘Suron ki Mehfil’ segment which was well-organized Antakshri programme of six rounds in which both the faculty and students tried to outwit each other by singing a variety of songs.
