ECTOPIA-2017 got off to a colorful start

Ludhiana, February 6, 2017: Three-day cultural festival ‘ECTOPIA-2017’ today got off to a colorful start in Dumra Auditorium, where students of various undergraduate batches will be participating in various talent-hunt competitions. The function was formally inaugurated by Member of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Balraj Ji along with Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Medical Supdt Dr Sandeep Sharma, Assistant Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal along with members of DMCH Cultural Committee including Dr Navjot Bajwa, Dr Sunil Juneja, Dr Suman Puri, Dr Garima Sharma, Dr Amarinder Singh, Dr Shireen Shah, Dr Anu Sharma and other faculty members. The newsletter ‘ECTOIPA TIMES’ was released by the dignitaries present on the occasion. The theme of ‘ECTOPIA-2017’ is Elysian Epoch which means Heavenly Times
In his message, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri said that annual cultural festival ‘ECTOPIA’ is the most awaited event by the faculty and students as well. It gives students a big relief from their hectic study schedule. Students long to participate in this festival, as it gives them a chance to show their extra-curricular talents. Dr Puri mentioned that ‘ECTOPIA’ was started in the institute fifteen year back, and still it has not lost its sheen and popularity among the faculty and students.
Secretary of DMCH Cultural Committee-Dr Dinesh Jain informed that the morning session of ‘ECTOPIA-2017’ today started with ‘Chance by Dance’ segment in which students of different batches performed energetic foot tapping dances. ‘DMCH Idol’ was another segment, in which the participants mesmerize the audience with their melodious voice. ‘T-shirt Slogan writing’ was another exciting competition in which participants wrote funny and though-provoking slogan on different T-shirts .
The morning session of ‘ECTOPIA-2017’ today got concluded with ‘Duet Songs segment’ in which the participants mesmerized the audience with their soulful performances by singing a medley of evergreen songs.
