ECTOPIA-2017 got concluded with impressive prize distribution function

Ludhiana, February 9, 2017: ECTOPIA-2017 yesterday got concluded with an impressive prize distribution ceremony. Best Batch Award went to MBBS Batch 2012.It was a cloud-nine moment for Shriya Gupta of MBBS Batch 2012 and Gurjot Singh of MBBS Batch 2013, who were adjudged as Ms. Ectopia and Mr Ectopia. The winners of various talent-hunt competitions were awarded prizes by dignitaries present on the occasion including Secretary of DMCH Managing Society- Sh Prem Kumar Gupta,), Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Medical Supdt Dr Sandeep Sharma and Dr Daljit Singh(Former Principal, DMCH). In his message, Dr Puri lauded the efforts of all members of DMCH Cultural Committee and students organizers to make ECTIOPIA-2017 a grand success.
The evening started with a duet- dance competition that lasted for nearly two hours on the concluding day showcasing more than a dozen varieties of fusion dances.
The highlight of yesterday evening was ‘Vogue Beat’- a show of fashion and style, which fetched thundering applause from the audience. Medicos beautified the evening with impressive fashion show and walked the ramp sporting various designs. The entire crowed cheered for those who walked the ramp in breathtaking outfits. In one of the rounds, the participants displayed dresses of bride and bridegrooms of different communities and of other countries as well. Some girl participants flaunted saris in different drapes teamed with floral jewellery.
The inter-batch college fest at DMCH is felt more like a carnival for all the students, remarked Abhishekh Karra of Batch 2013
“It was great to look lovely once in a while as we don’t dress up frequently in college,” said Kavleen (MBBS Batch 2014), who took part in the fashion show.
