ED tightens noose on garments showrooms

Jalandhar, February 24, 2013: Acting on a tip-off in connection with the hawala money transaction business allegedly continuing for a long period by a showroom at Jalandhar, the  sleuths of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) rounded up three employees of a business house under the name and style of Paul Garments after searches on the garment business house on Saturday, which continued for hours together.

As per the available information, the Enforcement Directorate sleuths from Jalandhar, Amrtisar, Ludhiana alongwith the police staff Ludhiana and Jalandhar police reached at the Paul Garments here during the evening hours, cordoning off the whole area even stopping the movement of vehicles too.

The ED sleuths did not rule out the hefty “hawala” transition money to be recovered  from three employees of the show room of the Paul Garments during the interrogation process.
