Jalandhar, July 6, 2015: Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organize seminar in Loharan Campus on Digital India—An Era of Screen agers. The main emphasis of this seminar is to discuss the various advantages of Digital India. The main topics which were discussed by the faculty members were Cyber security and cyber hygiene, Digital India Initiatives, E-Service and M Service and Digital Literacy and Digital Locker. The programme started with the presentation given by the Principal. He highlights the main initiatives of the government and presented a short presentation.
Digital India is an ambitious programme of Government of India projected at Rs 1,13,000 crores. This will be for preparing the India for the knowledge based transformation and delivering good governance to citizens by synchronized and co-ordinate engagement with both Central Government and State Government. Digital infrastructure will focus on providing high speed secure Internet. Governance and services on demand will stress on integrating services across departments and jurisdictions and making services available in real time for both on mobile platform.
Digital empowerment of citizens will pay emphasis on universal digital literacy and availability of digital resources/services in Indian languages. The Management and the Information Technology faculty members speaks on their different issues and topics by giving Power point presentation in the seminar .An open discussion programme based on questionnaire was also the main highlight of the seminar.
Dr.Anup Bowry Secretary Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust thanked all the faculty and Principal for participating in this important topic which will be useful for the students and all sundries in the coming future.
