Chandigarh, August 28, 2015: The latest edition of Elante Mall’s much-cherished Elante Wednesdays came as a lovely change for the tricity’s women folk with the mall hosting an exclusive workshop for them on “Home Decor” by acclaimed Home Decor expert Ms Komal Bhatiani this Wednesday.

The two-hour workshop conducted at InV Home in Elante Mall elicited an enthusiastic response as women across the tricity and beyond turned up at the venue in large numbers to learn the nuances of home decor. Coming at an opportune time ahead of the festive season, the workshop offered many valuable tips on making homes aesthetically more appealing. About xx women attended the workshop.

Elante Wednesdays is a customer-centric concept introduced by the mall to create an open forum for interaction and learning for the women folk of the tricity.

Ms Bhatiani, a creative entrepreneur with expertise in luxury home décor designs, brands and products, kept the participants engaged with her expert knowledge on home decor, giving practical, affordable and yet classy decor tips that don’t burn a hole in one’s pocket. Stressing on the key elements of space, colour, cleanliness and garden, Ms Bhatiani offered insights on how to blend these elements for that perfect festive look.

“Festivals are special occasions in India when we all want to decorate our homes. The lighting, decoration material and flowers that we choose should be pleasing to the eyes. The simplest of decors can look more breathtaking and heavenly than a loud, over-bearing decor, when done the right way. One can take some liberty with décor elements in view of the festive season. Sparkly decor looks nice, but it should not be overdone to look garish,” said Ms Bhatiani.

Clarifying that Home Decor is not as difficult or complicated as it seems to be, she said, “But you must have a clear idea of what you want and what your budget is before going about the task. Once you get started, make sure you decide upon the colour scheme, furniture and other items to complement the amount of space you have. Pleasing colour-tones which are not overbearing and give the place a more spacious feel leave more room for experimentation when it comes to furniture and other decor items.”

Ms Bhatiani also gave handy tips on how to make washrooms look appealingly hygienic and how to further beautify gardens.

Instrumental in setting up the world-class INV Home stores in Delhi and Chandigarh, Ms Bhatiani has handled over 700 home product categories. Her choice of designs, products and brands have been widely covered in the media and top home décor magazines like Elle Décor, Better Homes & Gardens, Good Housekeeping, Architecture Design and many more. She also offers consultancy to Indian and international luxury segment customers as well as Home Décor experts on the designs, products and accessories best suited to them.

Commenting on the Elante Wednesday’s initiative, Mr Manoj Agarwal, Head of Operations, Elante Mall, said, “We turn every ElanteWednesday into an opportunity for visitors to learn something new and exciting. That’s precisely why Elante Wednesdays have become such a hit among the women visiting the mall. With the festive season on the anvil, we were of the view that home decor would be a top priority for most people.”
