Elections of Ludhiana Press Club on 25th June

Ludhiana, June 7, 2017: The adhoc governing committee of Ludhiana press club (registered) has decided to conduct elections for permanent body of the club on 25th June (Sunday) from 09 a.m to 04 p.m. The governing body will be chosen for three years and will have posts of president, 2vice presidents (01 male and 01 female), general secretary, treasurer, 4 executive members (02 male and 02 females) The ad hoc ommittee has also appointed an Election body which includes senior journalists Parmod Batish, Rajesh Bhambi and Parmeshwar Singh. 18th June has been decided as the date of issuance of forms for elections and guidelines for the same.

Meanwhile Deputy commissioner Pradeep Aggarwal has appointed DPRO,Ludhiana Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal as election observer and also earmarked office of APRO,Ludhiana temporarily for conducting the affairs of the club till the times elections are conducted. Eligible mediapersons who are holders of yellow, accreditation card of state government or have minimum three years work experience and are active in the field of journalism and have a valid authority letter or proof can become members of the club. Ex-journalists and veterans are also eligible to become members of the club.

Bureau chiefs and incharge of media houses are hereby requested to send the list of their interested staffers and stingers to the screening committee or the interested journalists can submit their documents by 10th June at APRO, office Ludhiana or mail them at [email protected].

The screening committee of the club will scrutinize the applications and display the final list of members in the due course.
