Females strongly condemn incident of gang rape of Photo Journalist in Mumbai

Jalandhar, August 25, 2013: Females have strongly condemned the incident of gang rape of a Photo Journalist in Mumbai. They have demanded strict punishment to the accused. They have asserted that the Courts must give time bound verdict in such cases of heinous crimes and the judgments must be an eye opener for others.

When contacted Reena Jaitley state executive member of BJP Punjab said the incident has shocked the Nation. She said the Maharashtra Government must ensure complete security and safety to females, adding the governments must implementation of law strictly to check recurrence of such incidents. She said on one hand the government is giving 33% reservation to women in political setup and on the other hand such type of incidents really upset the overall scenario.

Reacting over the shocking incident, Pragati Sharma, a housewife said, the enforcement of strict laws is need of hour. Another housewife Neelam Mahendru said the whole nation feels ashamed over occurrence of the recent incident of gang rape with a photo journalist in Mumbai. She said these kinds of incidents might bring down morale of the working women, especially those who have to work in night shifts.

Still another housewife Simmi Mohindru said the incident has created sensation across the country. She said the courts must give strict punishments to the accused in such cases, adding the judgments must be an opener for others.

Anuradha Chaudhary, an advocate by profession, said such incidents were black blot on the face of the society. Rapists must be given exemplary punishments. Besides, justice must be delivered in a time-bound period because “justice delayed is justice denied”.

Veena Marwaha and Urmil Vaid (president, BJP Mahila Morcha Jalandhar, Urban) have also expressed almost similar opinion, seeking strict and time-bound punishment for the accused.
