FICO interacted with UNIDO team for Exports Bicycles & Parts to USA

Ludhiana, August 18, 2017: Today, a team of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) of Prof Mr. Jim Papadopoulos, PhD, Boston USA & Ms.Shraddha Srikant Project Assistant UNIDO International Centre for Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (IC-ISID) met Mr.Gurmeet Singh Kular President along with S.Manjinder Singh Sachdeva General Secretary FICO regarding Exports of Bicycle & Bicycle Parts to United States of America (USA).

As India is the second largest manufacturer of Bicycle & Bicycle Parts in the world, after China, but being second largest manufacturer India’s export to the United States in Negligible.

There is a trend of Hi-End Bicycles in USA market. So, in order to export our products, we have to focus on hi-end bicycles & bicycle parts, Like Carbon Alloy Bicycle Parts.

Mr. Jim Papadopoulos discussed the bottlenecks of the export to the United States of America, and suggested there should be a cluster of hi-end parts exporters, and India should export their products to USA as USA is a big Market of Bicycle Industry.
In September a 40 Members delegation of FICO is going to USA to attend Interbike to be held from 20 to 22 September 2017 & Explore opportunities in USA especially for Bicycle industry.
