Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana collaborates with Bharti Foundation

Two of the most renowned organisations of the country Fortis Hospitals Limited and Bharti recently joined hands under Fortis’ School Health Programme. Bharti Foundation’s foremost corporate project ‘The Satya Bharti Schools’ is the flagship rural education initiative aimed at holistic development of children. Being one of the largest end-to-end rural education scheme undertaken by a corporate in India, it lays special emphasis on education for the girl child and children from marginalized communities. Currently, 254 Satya Bharti Schools are operational and reaching out to over 42,000 underprivileged children through free quality education.

This event of association was successfully launched by conducting the First Health Check Up at the school premises at Satya Bharti School, Ladhowal branch for more than 250 students on November 4th, 2016.

Mr. Vivan Singh Gill, Facility Director, Fortis Hospital Ludhiana was present at the event. Mr. Gill mentioned that “This programme aims to make sure that Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana continues to be a vital community resource for spreading awareness through periodic wellness coaching lectures and health screening camps in order to promote good health and better living amongst children as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility

These preventive health checkups will also assist in detecting ailments at an initial stage in a child and will ascertain the status of their overall physical and psychological development . This has been a great initiative by both the organizations that offer Health and Education to pool resources for a noble cause and provide healthcare services to underprivileged children as Healthy children make a Healthy Nation. Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana will now be covering 25 other schools of Satya Bharti Foundation based in Ludhiana (west) in the coming future as a part of its CSR.
