GGNIMT Signs MOU with Fortune Park Klassik

Ludhiana, June 6, 2015: Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines has recently taken a few initiatives to boost the placement opportunities for its students.With the view to achieve expert industry training and guaranteed placements, GGNIMT has signed an MOU with Hotel Fortune Park Klassik, a Four-Star Hotel managed by  ITC group . Mr Prithipal Singh Kapur, President, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council(GKEC), Ludhiana and Mr Bhag Singh, HR Manager, Fortune Park Klassik signed the  MOU between the two organizations.
While talking to the media, Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Co-ordinator, GGNIMT said that this MOU will ensure practical training and industry interface for grooming the students as per hospitality industry standards. He further mentioned that the MOU will enhance the technical knowledge and provide more industry exposure to the budding hoteliers. Prof. Chhabra said that an institute can impart theoretical knowledge to its students but the real world learning can only happen in the real time environment. This MOU would help to provide our institute with that missing link to the industry and polish our students for more rewarding careers.
 Ms. Shanti Mani, Head, Dept of Hotel Managementsaid that due to this MOU the department would have frequent guest lectures and practical demonstrations by eminent resource persons from the Hotel Partner enabling the students to adopt all the nuances they need to become placeable.
Principal Dr. P. S Khattra said that all this will not only augment the student expertise but also bridge the skill deficit required by the industry. Hetermed this move to be an important milestone towards more enabling hospitality careers.
Going along with the wave of e-commerce sector, GGNIMT has taken yet another initiative by introducing Bachelors in e-commerce from this year onwards. This course would not only assure lucrative job opportunities, but would also enable the budding businessmen to start their own e-commerce ventures. Prof. Parvinder Singh, Head, Dept. of BusinessManagement highlighted that the training in this course would help to bridge the gap between the growing job openings in this sector and the dearth of skilled manpower. Enlisting the course structure, he informed that the summer training and projects would constitute an important part of the course.Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra exhorted that a course that teaches all aspects of e-commerce is the need of the hour and GGNIMT believes in catering to the needs of the students and imparting transformational education.
