GMMSA EXPO INDIA 2017 concludes on a high note; hailed as great success by industry

LUDHIANA, February 20, 2017: After a grand show in Ludhiana the GMMSA Expo INDIA 2017 concluded on Monday at Dana Mandi on Bahadurke Road. The Expo has proved to be a great help for knitwear garment manufacturers who were able to get a glimpse of the manufacturing machines and tools all under one roof. On the whole, the exhibition was the hub of innovation over the last four days with more than 50,000 people visiting the exhibition.

A closing ceremony was organised where the Garments Machinery Manufacturers & Suppliers Association (GMMSA) - EXPO facilitated the exhibitors for their participation and sought their support for next year 2018. Present during the ceremony were Mr. Ram Krishan – Chairman GMMSA, Mr. Narinder Kumar - President GMMSA, Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Mr. Amit Jain, Mr. Parmesh Wasist, Mr. Gurdev Singh, Mr. Jatinder Sudera, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, Mr. Pankaj Kalra, Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Mr. Rajesh Krishan, Mr. Davinder Pal, Mr. Rajinder Bhamra and other delegates.

Guest of honour for the day was Mr. Rajesh Jain – Zonal Manager; National Small Industrial Corporation (NSIC),Mr. Vishal Bhatnagar from NSIC, Mr. Mahesh Khanna GM – DIC and Mr. S.S. Raikhy – Functional Manager, DIC. Also, present during the closing ceremony was S. Harminder Singh - Chairman Market Committee Ludhiana.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ram Krishan – Chairman, GMMSA Expo India 2017 thanked all the exhibitors and participants for the marvellous display of most modern machines & technology at the doorsteps of garment manufacturers and reposing faith in GMMSA Expo India 2017. He also thanked team GMMSA Expo India for their valuable suggestions and cooperation in achieving appreciation from exhibitors as well as visitors from the industry.

Mr. Narinder Kumar – President GMMSA Expo India 2017 also thanked the exhibitors as well as industry for their support. He further said, “This year the exhibition has been an even bigger success. The objective of this Expo is to provide latest technology and know-how at the doorsteps of the industry in the Manchester of India, Ludhiana.”

Ms. Swati Arora Assistant Manager Marketing of Insight Print Communications Pvt Ltd said, "We have a dye sublimation printer from MImaki that has the capacity to print 800 square meters per day. This machine is one of the most efficient in the market with excellent Japanese quality. This machine is of great use to print on home furnishings and sports apparel. This machine is also used to print for fashion designers as well. This machine is better than other machines because the return on investment is better,"

Mr. Satyadev Goyal of IIGM Pvt Ltd said, "We have displayed Indian, Japanese and Chinese machines. We have on display sewing and hemming machines from Juki and Yamato. Japanese machines have a very good review in the market and those looking for something sturdy and reliable these products serve the purpose. The Xcel laundry system from Faridabad washes and dries in a single unit."

Mr. Ankur Gupta of Shori Chemicals said, "The direct to garment printing machine is one of a kind and is being manufactured in India itself. The printer by Graphica Flextronic can print 400 to 500 t-shirts in an hour and this machine is also being exported to other countries. India used to import printing machines till this company started manufacturing it in India itself."
