Gujarat to use Ludhiana's application SECURITY-NET for better supervision of election and its security arrangements

Ludhiana, November 17, 2017: Chief Election Commissioner AK Joti, Election Commissioners OP Rawat and Sunil Arora formally approved and launched SECURITY-NET, the online reporting and supervision of security system to conduct elections in fair and transparent manner in India in New Delhi on November 14.
According an official information, the SECURITY-NET had been developed by Dhruman Nimbale, IPS, DCP, Ludhiana, Sandeep Garg IPS, Surendra Lamba IPS under the supervision of the Police Commissioner Jatinder Aaulakh IPS, The design software and back hand work of SECURITY-NET is developed by Prit Pal Singh and it's company The Traffic Solutions Company, Ludhiana. It was used on pilot basis in the Punjab Assembly elections concluded in February this year. It is for the first time that Election Commission of India is going to use it in the whole State of Gujarat in the upcoming Assembly Elections.
As per the available information, the Chief Election Commissioner AK Joti appreciated the singular efforts by the team and has also facilitated the then Police Commissioner Jatinder Aulakh, IPS, Dhruman Nimbale, IPS, DCP, Ludhiana, Sandeep Garg, IPS and Surendra Lamba, IPS and Pritpal Singh, the technical consultant for this revolutionary initiative. The Election Commission of India will now ensure that the SECURITY-NET be launched across all the states.

Features of SECURITY-NET
The SECURITY-NET has total 12 different features including online reporting, communication plan, maps, development plan, e-nakabandi, GPS tracking, contacts, complaints, Form 12, deployment of CPMFs Alarms and SOS.

The SECURITY-NET would be used for receiving time-bound online reporting of daily recoveries and election related crime at PS, Sub -Division, District Headquarters and ECI level. The feature will help immensely to operate more precisely, punctually and save lots of manpower. If the report is not sent at designated time it automatically conveys the matter to the higher authority through SMS.

The e-nakabandi is a unique feature to supervise nakabandi held during the elections and exact details of force deployed, geo-tagged points of naka and polling booths, details of vehicles checked and search of vehicles through data of NCRB and Vaahan Software. This help in accurate information about the driver, owner and vehicle.

The SECURITY-NET has another unique feature of geo-tagged locations of polling booths. This alongwith the GPS-fitted vehicles will help in real time checking of response time and the designated route of response to any emergency.

Through this application the movements of all the vehicles of local police, CPMFs, FSTs and SSTs can be tracked in real time through GPS. Hence, they can be directed to reach anywhere to the complainant or nakapoint whereever they required. Their actual position can be supervised by the concerned police officials, RO and election observers.

The voting of police and security personnel on election duty has also been ambitiously incorporated in the SECURITY-NET. The concerned police personnel only need to feed his EPIC number in SECURITY-NET which will be automatically generate the Form 12 which after filing duty can be sent to designated office of ARO or RO. This will tremendously increase the participation of security personnel which till now were devoid of their foremost duty as a citizen on alter of their duty to conduct the elections in free, fair and transparent manner.

SECURITY-NET also has mobile application through which all these features can be tracked through mobile.

It has immensely helped in supervising security arrangements and response by all officers even when they are moving in the area.

SECURITY-NET is a specialised Support System Software which provides Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Nodal Officer from Police, District Police head, DySP till the police station level with the necessary information for making efficient, time-bound and intelligent decisions of security in critical election process.

During the enforcement of Code of Conduct, the supervising officer can directly communicate to polling party about deployment details and pre-poll security arrangements by sending SMS and mobile notification. During the polling, the officer can report any law and order issue of malfunction through feature of SOS or complaints from their mobile application immediately the message is flashed to all to take corrective action.

The ambitious initiative will revolutionise the supervision of security arrangements and ensure the election in free, fair, safe and secured environment.
