Hazare sat on an indefinite hunger strike

Finally, renowned social activist 75-year-old - Anna Hazare sat on an indefinite hunger strike near the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi today against corruption.

He, his team members and supporters are demanding a stringent Jan Lokpal bill to check wide spread corruption across the country.

It may be mentioned here that as many as 350 others people including three Team Anna members have been fasting since Wednesday.
Addressing his supporters, he said it was time for the return of “swaraj” across the country. He observed that politicians were "public servants" and the people "owners" of the society. He regretted that the situation was almost opposite to that. He believed that people had become servants and politicians the owners.

Hazare strongly alleged that fifteen ministers in the Dr. Manmohan Singh government were corrupt. He believed that who Hazare alleges are corrupt remain in parliament the Lokpal Bill would not be passed till these minister were in the Parliament.
