Dharamshala, November 21, 2017: "In a major achievement and glory for Himachal Cricket, The All-India Women's Selection Committee has named the India ‘A’ squad for the upcoming home series against Bangladesh ‘A’ comprising three one-day and three T20 matches. And, we are glad to say that 2 Himachal players are part of the squad, namely Neena Chaudhary (Mandi) and Tanuja Kanwar (Shimla)", said Mohit Sood, Press Secretary, Himachal Cricket Association.

Talking to this correspondent, Sood told that declared India 'A' Team for One-Day matches is Anuja Patil (Captain), S Meghana, Neha Tanwar, Nuzhat Parveen(WK), Kavita Patil, Preeti Bose, Shivangi Raj, Devika Vaidya, V R Vanitha, Jemima Rodrigues, *Neenu Choudhury*, Mansi Joshi, Sukanya Parida, Priyanka Priyadarshani, M D Thirushkamini.

India ‘A' Team for T20 matches:* Anuja Patil (Captain), S Meghana, Jemima Rodrigues, Swagatika Rath, Pooja Vastrakar, *T P Kanwar*, Soni Yadav, Ramya
S Doli, V R Vanitha, D Hemlatha, Devika Vaidya, Tanya Bhatia(WK), Meghna Singh, Radha Yadav, Tarannum Pathan.

He said, “Sushma Verma who hails from Shimla is already donning the national colours and has been part of lot of international successes, and has become a role model for lot of young girls and cricket enthusiasts .It’s a moment of great pride and honour for the state association, the state and people of Himachal as our local girls are doing very well at the national level.”

He further informed that in addition to the above Rishi Dhawan from Mandi has been selected in the men’s national team and Prashant Chopra from Solan had also been selected for the under 23 national men’s team earlier .”Ankush Bains of the state is also playing for the country at the highest level and has been a consistent performer”, he added.

Sood said, “We are very happy and ecstatic at this historic moment we are committed to provide world class facilities to the players and the day is not far off when more players of the association will be playing for the nation and the senior team and making us and the state proud. It is the infrastructure created in the last fifteen years and world class coaching provided in a fair and transparent manner that has made this possible and we are striving hard to provide international facilities to all our players and districts.”
