Hospitality Olympics 2016 entered its 2nd Day

Ludhiana, January 20, 2016: Hospitality Olympics 2016 organised by PCTE - IHM entered its second day. Day took off with Cocktail & Mocktail Making Competition and Napkin folding competition at the campus. Teams from LPU, IHM – Gurdaspur, Chitkara, CGC – Landran, GNA-IMT and Global – IHM Amritsar participated in the competition. They explored exotic drinks like Dark Vodka, Green Coconut Vodka, Paanipuri Vodka shots, Screwdriver, Mojito, Bloody Mary, Margherita, Black Martini and Out of the School. 
 
Mr. P. Nayak  - Head HR Radisson Blu, Mr. Jaspret – Manager Beer Cafe, Mr. Sukhi Gill – Managing Director Bistro and Mr. Ranjit – Manager Blu- O were the judges of the event.
 
Mudit from Lovely Professional University won First Position, Raj Kumar from IHM Gurdaspur stood second and Paramveer from Chitkara stood third in  cocktail & Moctail making competition. In Napkin folding competition first position ws grabbed by Arpit from CGC – Landran followed by Amnisha from GNA – IMT. Third position was grabbed by Himanshu from CGC – Landran. The mega event was organized to showcase the diverse drinks of world and it turned successful as huge participation was found.  
 
Prof. Anirban Gupta, Director - IHM said “We want to spread awareness about hospitality arts as a bright career; the demand of skilled bartenders is increasing day by day”. Mr. Gupta praised all the participants and was very happy with the efforts students made.
 
Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the team of IHM and said that Hotel management course is the most practical course. He further said that such events will definitely help the students in exploring the bar-tending art. He said that it isn’t about wining or loosing, it’s about participating, learning and cherishing those everlasting memories.
