Dharamshala, December 2, 2016: The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association is of the view that, right from the power in of Vir Bhadra led Government, and during the last 4 years it could not digest the popularity of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. In a press conference on Friday HPCA official Sanjay Sharma said that Himachal government's main aim was to grab HPCA by hook or by crook.
“In their present tenure, they took Cabinet decisions in the middle of the night and tried to took possession over the HPCA property. Broke open the gates of the stadium in the middle of the night. They filed case after case on HPCA, but didn't succeed in that as well”, said Sanjay PRO, HPCA. He said that now the C.M. Virbhadra Singh and Urban Development Minister, Sudhir Sharma, who is also MLA from Dharamsala, are now trying new tactics and strategies through the Dharamshala Municipal Corporation and harassing the HPCA Officials and staff in the name of investigations.
Sanjay added, “Now they have their eyes on the The Pavilion (5star hotel of HPCA at Dharamshala). The government and Dharamshala Municipal Corporation are now of the view that HPCA has illegally taken possession of some land for the hotel.”
He informed the media that 56- 58 canal of land has been given by previous state government on lease of Rs.27 lakh per annum. If the government is really serious about the matter then they should hand over the land leased to HPCA.
He advised that the officers of Municipal Corporation should stop working as the agents of Congress party.
He blamed that the parking area allotted to HPCA near Cricket Stadium Dharamshala, was given to some other project by the MC.
Sanjay said, “HPCA has never been afraid of any government actions nor will be in future. HPCA has not taken anybody's land illegally, neither we keep such intentions nor we will let anyone else take hold of our land.”
Earlier, Dharamshala MC has passed a resolution asking government to esquire about any illegal procession of land by HPCA or others in and around the 5 Star Hotel Pavilion of HPCA at Dharamshala.
