Jalandhar/Kapurthala/Amritsar, November 12, 2017: I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University Students gave remarkable performance and achieved various positions in regional level inter zone youth festival held at two different locations(zone wise) i.e.PIMT College Khanna & Shree Sai College of Engineering & Technology Campus Badhani (Pathankot). Main Campus Kapurthala students got eight positions and Shri Amritsar Sahib Campus students achieved 09 medals in various items. University authorities appreciated the efforts and spirit of participants as well as their team members.

Dr. Sarabjeet Singh Mann, Cultural Affairs Coordinator of IKG PTU shared that regional level cultural competitions held at PIMT College Khanna (Ludhiana), where the students of Kapurthala Main Campus bagged total 08 positions in various items in which student Apoorav bagged first position in Collage making, Komal got first prize in Essay writing, Shilpa Jassal was 2nd in Mimekari, Saransh Arora bagged 2nd position in Poster Making, Yaspreet Singh got 2nd position in spot painting, Gurkamal got 2nd prize in Classical (vocal) solo, Ankur, Dheeraj & Kapil recived 2nd position prize in Quiz, Srishti & Himanshu also got 2nd prize in Debate compititation.

IKG PTU Shri Amritsar Sahib Campus students achieved 09 medals in another zone and the competition was held at Shree Sai College of Engineering & Technology Campus Badhani (Pathankot). This campus student Navneet won Gold in Mehndi, Jobanjit won silver in Poster Making, Giddha & Bhangra Team won Bronze Medal, in Elocution Shivam won bronze, in Quiz, Ankit, Rudhar, Reshav got silver medal, in Creative Writing Poetry, Ankit bagged silver medal and in Creative Writing Story, Preetika got silver medal. Student Harpreet bagged bronze medal in Light Vocal Indian.

University’s Dean Planning & Development Dr. N. P. Singh congratulated the students and concerned respective teams on this achievement. He said University is responsible for the overall development of the students and the Cultural Activities played vital role in the overall development of the youth. University Registrar Dr Amanpreet Singh, Finance Officer Dr S.K.Mishra, Director Students Affair Dr. Sukhbir Singh Ahluwalia also congratulated the achievers.
