Ludhiana, August 27, 2012: Induction Furnace Association of North India (Ludhiana) president KK Garg told City Air News today that they had decided to continue their ongoing strike against e-TRIP system introduced by the state government from August 10 onwards.

He told that a decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the association alongwith other associations held here this evening. He said the today’s meeting also decided to assemble tomorrow evening to chalk further strategy about the ongoing closure of induction furnace units in Ludhiana and Mandi Gobindgarh.

Replying to a question, he told that they wanted that the state government should roll back its decision of starting e-TRIP system in Punjab.

On being asked, he told that they had not received any communication from the government’s side so far. However, he believed that  the state BJP was in their favour. He said the core committee meeting of the party held yesterday had decided on the issue in favour of the industry.
