Jalandhar, October 30, 2014: Seventy percent of our planet Earth is covered with water. Is it a reason good enough to make our children learn swimming? No….it’s much more. It’s a great form of cardio because while jogging or running just engages the lower body, swimming targets almost every muscle in the body at the same time. Also the water provides natural resistance to your body.

Under the leadership and immense motivation of our Principal S Chauhan Inter House swimming competition for Grade I-V was held at IVY World School. The students performed exceptionally well and once again proved that Freestyle (50 meters): First position holders: Mahira, Nishka, Nitya,Varin, Prabhsimran, Chandan, Second position holders: Ananya, Riya, Jasleen, Nitin, Rohanish, Japjaap, Third position holders: Herron, Arunima, Simran, Lovepreet, Inderjot, Mannan.

Backstroke (50 meters): First position holders: Harkiran, Riya, Nitya, Varin, Vatsal, Chandan, Second position holders: Pakhi, Arunima, Tanvi, Aditya, Upman, Japjaap, Third position holders: Herron, Nishka, Yashasvi, Nitinpreet, Rakhajot, Mannan.

At IVY World School, we firmly believe "Sports are more than a game; they are a set of life lessons."  They make children good team players, develop positive attitude, thus enhancing their overall personality. Sports are as important as any other subject and should get the same importance as all other subjects in the life of a student.
