Introductory Session held for MBBS freshers

Ludhiana, August 9, 2012: To welcome the new 2012 batch of MBBS students at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, an introductory function was organised here today in Dumra Auditorium.

The event was attended by the freshers alongwith their parents, faculty members and members of the DMCH Managing Society. Assistant Dean Academics -Dr. Sandeep Kaushal extended warm welcome to the students and their parents.

In his address, Principal Dr Daljit Singh traced the history of the college and its contribution in the academics and quality-health care in the region. He further exhorted the new batch of MBBS students to focus on intellectual development and join the profession with an aim of serving the ailing humanity. 

While speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the new academic session, Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina said that in order to strive and deliver the best medical services to the people, doctors should adopt a role model and work with dedication.

During the session, the faculty of various specialties were introduced to the students and the freshers along with their parents were introduced personally to those present on the occasion.

Among those present on the occasion included Chief Cardiologist- Dr. G. S. Wander and Medical Supdt. Dr Ashwani Chaudhary.
