Hyderabad, September 17, 2017: TheTech Fest 2017, India’s largest Technology and Career Conference specifically for Students kicked off here in JN Auditorium, JNTU, Kukatpally Hyderabad on Sunday morning.

TheTechFest 2017 is organized by EngineersHub in association with CDK Global and Facebook.

The event is by the students for the students and entirely driven by volunteers.

The two day was inaugurated by Ankur Mehra, Head of Partnerships and Media, Facebook India informed Manoj Raj. D Founder of TheTechFest.

Delivering his Keynote address, Ankur Mehra (Facebook) - who spoke on Corporate Culture and it's importance to Students said it is important to be a culture fit and not a culture misfit for corporates to hire you in the current day scenario.

The journey from "Fauj to Facebook", Major ankur Mehra, Facebook shared his transformational story to the students at TechFest to inspire them to attain greater.

Facebook is no way a startup now, but the best part about Facebook is it still thinks and acts like a startup. Nothing at Facebook is somebody's else's problem", " We rise by lifting others", "don't mistake motion for progress" are a few motivational quotes that stick out at facebook office and this is just a reflection of our values and culture at Facebook started Ankur Mehra his talk on work culture.

Working culture defines the organization. The culture can make or break any organisation said ankur Mehra stating an example of the armed forces from where he has emerged from has spoken about its diverse culture maintaining the integrity and Honour.

Culture rather than becoming an enableer will become a disabler when approached with bias which leads to confrontation.

With a footfall of 5200 people visiting the fest, it is regarded as one of India's Largest Technology and Career Conference for students.

It provides an international platform for the students to showcase their talents and skill sets in fierce competitions, display cutting edge technology and research from all over the globe, have world renowned influencers motivate the students and promote solutions to alleviate the common man of his banal yet significant problems.

Manoj Raj. D, Founder of TheTechFest says, it is the platform for students to learn, experience and connect with the latest technologies and meet experts and mentors from diverse industries.

The theme of the Test is "awaken the future", where students are introduced to the various aspects of technology and distruptive thinking and also celebrate Technology.

TheTechFest was born out of the simple idea of connecting, creating and achieving a common technical consensus among students to create the future that they dream of and wish to live in”, says Manoj after successfully running EngineersHub for 7+ years and giving internships to more than 100+ students during this period.

The event is entirely volunteer driven. Student volunteers from 100 plus colleges, people who are woking in companies like Amazon, EngineersHub, Whacked Out Media, Mivo Group are also helping to make the conference a great success.

Avinash Tekalkote, who has been heading Student & Corporate Partnerships, for TheTechFest, says that, last year we had 70 per cent of the attendees as females and this gave us even more confidence to push girls and women into the technology space which is primarily a male-dominant industry.

Sharing more details, Sreerag Nambiar, Head of Operations of TheTechFest informed that the two days event this year will host 20 speakers from diverse technologies all around the world, 5 plus Technology Experience Zones, 16 plus Workshops, 10 plus Student Prototypes and much more. Stating further, Sreerag said that they were expecting a footfall of 5000 delegates this year.

Along with the Add-ons Hackathon by Mozilla Hyderabad, the Workshops at the event include: Car Engine dis-assembly; Car Mechanism Demo (Outdoor); Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), 3D Printing, Intense Text Processing -- BIGDATA; Sentimental Analysis using Python; Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security; Mobile Application Development using Android; Augmented Reality (AR) and it’s Applications; Artificial Intelligence -- Machine Learning using Matlab; Saas Based Data Storage; Processing in Cloud Computing using AWS and Statistical Technique -- R Programming

Learning from last year, Sistla Venkata Abhishek, Director of Strategy of TheTechFest; says, Technology has a huge role to play this year as the event scales up. QR Codes are assigned for each student delegate which will be scanned for attendance while entering the event and at Workshops. TheTechFest 2017 edition will also see the implementation of an auto-scalable, cloud-telephony solution for TheTechFest Workshop registrations where a student, who has bought the ticket and registered, can simply call a number and is automatically registered for the desired Workshop without the need to stand in a queue.
