Hind Sewa Samiti (Rashtriya) office-bearers on Friday paying tributes to the Kargil Martyrs at Jalandhar on Friday.
Jalandhar, July 12, 2013: Hind Sewa Samiti (Rashtriya) office-bearers on Friday paid glowing tributes to the Kargil Martyrs who had laid down their lives in the Kargil conflict.
Tributes were paid at a simple function, near Bust Stand here. Martyrs of the Nation were remembered. Among others, District Defense Services Welfare Officer Col Harvinder Pal Singh was among those who spoke on the occasion.
In his address, former convener (Media Cell) of Punjab BJP Rajat Kumar Mohindru the countrymen should never forget martyrs of the Nation. He added the countrymen should never forget that they used to enjoy freedom only because of sacrifices made by the martyrs for protecting their motherland.
Among others, the Samiti president Sunil Sharma and chairman S.D. Chug also spoke. They said it would have been better if the state government should have organised functions in the schools for remembering the Kargil martyrs today.
Present on the occasion included BJP District Vice President Satish Kapur, and others including Arun Handa, Vipan Sharma, Amit Anand Bhola, Banarsi Dass Khosla, Rajesh Sharma, Shammi Kanaujia and Vijay Sharma.
