Ludhiana, September 14, 2015: September 14, 2015 is observed as ‘Hindi Diwas’. To mark the importance of the day the department of Hindi and Sanskrit organized Doha Gayan contest in which 20 participants show cased their talent by reciting dohas of Kabir, Rahim Vrina, Ravidas. The audience was mesmerized with the knowledgeable dohas presented by the students. Mrs.Harminder Kaur (Department of English) and Mrs.Khushdip Kaur (Department of Commerce) were the judges for the occasion.
 
The results of the Doha Gayan Competition: -
 
Vishali (BA IInd Year) Ist Prize, Anjuman (BA IIIrd Year) IInd Prize, Nitika (BA IInd Year) IIIrd Prize, Anu (BA IIIrd Year) & Sarojini (BA IInd Year) Consolation Prize.
 
The College Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill was the Guest of Honour. She congratulated all the teachers of Hindi and Sanskrit Department i.e. Dr. (Mrs.) Kamini Sahir, Mrs. Simarjeet Kaur, Mrs. Nutan Dhanda and Mrs. Dilraj Kaur and all the students. She further added that teachers must emphasized on the practicing of Hindi language. She stated that these small couplets are very precious in life and these teachings should be imbibed by all in life in their journey of becoming better human beings.
