A delegation of Knitwear Club, Ludhiana submits a memorandum to Sarup Chand Singla, Chief Parliament Secretary, Punjab at Ludhiana on Monday.
Ludhiana, August 5, 2013: A delegation of Knitwear Club, Ludhiana led by Darshan Dawar, President and Narinder Miglani, General Secretary, submitted a memorandum to Sarup Chand Singla, Chief Parliament Secretary, Punjab here today.
The delegation demanded that lump-sum tax should be fixed for bag/peti of the hosiery goods sent to railway station for onward destinations.
It was further emphasised that entrepreneurs whose goods are checked by the mobile wing at Ludhiana should not be summoned to other stations such as Jalandhar or Amritsar, instead their case should be disposed off at Ludhiana only.
Singla gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured to take up the demands with authorities concerned.
The delegation was comprised of Jaswant Takkar, Ashok Popley, Kewal Buddhiaraja, Manjit Kumar, Bittu Chawla andVasan.
