KVK, Handiaya (Barnala) organises Animal Health Camp at Karamgarh

Ludhiana, October 13, 2017: Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University’s, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Handiaya (Barnala) organized an “Animal Health Camp” at “Pashu Civil Veterinary Dispensary” at village Karamgarh of district Barnala, in guidance of Dr.P.S.Tanwar Associate Director . In this camp 432 animals were treated for different diseases by expert namely Dr.Kirti Dua, Senior Scientist (Department of Veterinary Medicine ), Dr Ashwani Kr.Singh, Assistant professor (Department Veterinary Gynecological & Obstericts ) and Dr Ummeshwari (Department of Veterinary surgery ). Dr K.Dua look after the medicinal cases and Dr Ashwani attended the gynecological cases of dairy animals while Dr Umeshwari performed surgery of “Medial patellar Desmotomy” (MPD) in dairy animals. Dr Surender Singh ,Assistant Professor (Livestock Production ) KVK ,Barnala informed about “Feed Formula” for the formulation of balance ration using commonly available ingredients for feeding dairy animals. Medicines and Mineral Mixture were distributed free of cost to the farmers. In farmer scientist interaction session, experts discussed the importance of regular de-worming along with supplementation of mineral mixture in the managements of anestrus problem and lower growth problem in domestic animals. Farmers expressed their gratitude to Dr P.S.Tanwar, Associate Director, KVK, Barnala for organizing such camp at their village.
