LUDHIANA BRANCH of ICAI Selected as Best Branch for Year 2012

Ludhiana, February 13, 2013: Ludhiana Branch of NIRC of ICAI has been awarded Best Branch Award at National Level (for Large Branch Category) in Annual Function held by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at New Delhi on February 11, The Award was presented by Minister of State (I/C), Ministry for Corporate Affairs, Sachin Pilot inaugurated the Function. President, ICAI, Jaydeep Narendra Shah presided over the function.

Ludhiana Branch Convener Rajeev K. Sharma alongwith others said here on Wednesday that following a glorious tradition of excellence, the Ludhiana Branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has been awarded for being Best Branch  at national level (in Large Branch Category) for the year 2012. The Shield has been awarded at the 63rd Annual function held at New Delhi.

The Ludhiana Branch of NIRC of The Institute of chartered Accountants of India is one of the biggest branches of the Northern Region having more than 1,300 Chartered Accountants as its members and more than 4,500 CA students.

Besides Ludhiana Branch is being awarded for highly commendable performance in lndia Award continuously for the last two years and  Best Branch in Northern Region five time out of the last six years.

Branch Chairman Jasminder Singh and Managing Committee Members of Ludhiana Branch received the Award. 

“The award is a testimony to the hard work and commitment of the entire Chartered Accountants community, CA student and our Staff Members of Ludhiana Branch and I accept the award with all humility, on behalf of my team,” Jasminder Singh, Chairman of the Branch said on receiving the award. He dedicated this award to the members of the Ludhiana, Khanna, Mandi Gobindgarh, Samrala, Mullanpur, Jagraon and Moga and the entire area. He reaffirmed his efforts for the members and the students to work for taking the profession to greater heights with a belief "Success is a journey and not a destination."

Sharing his views with the mediapersons here today, Rajeev K. Sharma, Convener Public Relations Committee of the Branch said that Ludhiana Branch of ICAI has been proactively organising various programmes for its members, not only the Professional Education Programmes but also various other programmes like overall personality development programs, programmes of general interest like public speaking workshops, public awareness programmes and cultural programs etc.

The media was informed that Ludhiana Branch is going to organise National CAs Convention on “Visualise, Plan, Achieve” on February 16 and 17 on the subjects of Strategies for Success - A Practical Approach, Service Tax on Import and Export of Services and Reverse/Joint Charge Mechanism. Challenges in Financial Reporting in Changing Times, Companies Bill 2012 - Issues Relating to Accounts and Audit.
