Ludhiana News/ Architects from Ludhiana under banner of IIA –LC to contribute for planned growth and development of city

Ludhiana, December 21, 2013: Architects from Ludhiana under banner of the Indian Institute of Architects - Ludhiana Centre (IIA -LC) shall also contribute for city planned growth and development in future as informed by newly elected office bearers of Ludhiana Centre.
New team of office bearers was declared elected by Prafulla KarKhanis, Divya Kush and Alok Rajan, all three members of National High Power Committee of Election Officers from Head Office Mumbai.
The newly elected team is as under: Chairman-Sanjay Goel, Vice Chairman-Balbir Bagga, Honorary Treasurer-Harpreet Kaur Dhillon, Joint Honorary Secretaries-Harinder Singh Boparai – I and Rajan Tangri – II and Executive Member-Yogesh Singla, Bimaldeep Singh, Tarsem Chand Goel, Sumit Sharma and Baljit Singh Bawa.
The newly elected office bearers of IIA-LC, under their ‘IIA Chandigarh Punjab Chapter’ as well as head office had already requested the government to take more and more its members in various Boards such as District Planning Board for better planning and growth of the city as local architects are always more aware of people’s problems.
The newly elected chairman Sanjay Goel who is also Joint Honorary Secretary in IIA Chandigarh Punjab Chapter had requested the Union Government through local MP Manish Tewari to create Ministry of Architecture in for better planning and growth of nation. He pointed out that there existed Ministry for other Professionals like Doctors, CAs and Advocates but not for Architects.
“We are highly thankful to previous term team as well as all architects from city for their support”, said the newly elected team members at a press conference here on Saturday.
They revealed that the National IIA President Prakash Deshmukh and IIA Chandigarh Punjab Chapter Chairman Manmohan Khanna and their executive members had congratulated them.
