Ludhiana News/All petrol pumps in India to remain open on Dec 24 - Grewal

Ludhiana, December 20, 2013: All India Secretary, Federation of All India Petroleum Traders and In-charge of North Zone Petrol Pumps, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that it has come to know that some recent report appearing in some section of print media that petrol pumps shall be observing a closure on December 24 and shall be switching off the illumination on December 22 and 23 at all petrol pumps.
In a press statement here today, Grewal said that National President, Federation of All India Petroleum Traders Ashok Badhwar and all the team members clarify that no such switching off lights or closure of petrol pumps shall take place. There is no question of any agitation since the Minister of Petroleum Verappa Moily is already seized of the matter and he has assured us that suitable instructions are being issued in this regard.
