Ludhiana, November 22, 2013: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana is organising its first mega engineering expo “International engineering Technology & Sourcing Show” IETSS-EMAT: 2013 at GLADA Ground here from November 29 to December 2.

The event will be inaugurated by Punjab Minister for Industries, Madan Mohan Mittal, on November 29.

Addressing a joint press conference here today, the CICU general secretary Avtar Singh and joint secretary Upkar Singh Ahuja said around 300 stalls would be put during the event.

They said the motive of organising the event was to further promote export of engineering goods manufactured in Ludhiana in the international market, especially in Arabian and African countries.

They told that at president of the total export of engineering goods from Ludhiana 70 per cent were being exported to Arabian and African countries. “We wish to further explore the market in these nations by holding the forthcoming event”, they said, adding they hoped that the forthcoming event would give explore markets in these nations.

They hoped that the event was likely to give enquiries worth Rs. 100 crores.

They revealed that “The Arab-Africa Conclave-2013” would also be held on concluding day of the exhibition, in which ten ambassadors and high commissioners from Arab and African continents would visit the expo.

They hoped that the forthcoming event would open opportunities for bilateral trade.

The exhibitors would be from India and abroad such as Japan, China, Germany and Yemen. The event was likely to attract around 50,000 visitors from India and abroad, they hoped.
