Ludhiana News/Statue of Unity and Run for Unity - Marathon to be history of India - Grewal

Jagraon (Ludhiana), December 13, 2013: BJP Kisan Morcha National Secretary Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that the Marathon of “Run for Unity” will be organised on the Punyatithi of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on December 15. After Jagraon District meeting with village Panchayat's, in a press statement here today, he said that this Marathon will be organised all over India on this day and this Marathon will be a history of India.
Grewal stated while emphasising on the importance of Statue of Unity that this Statue of Unity being constructed in Gujarat is not only project of one party. He said that with this Marathon every citizen of the country is attached with it sentiment's. He said that this Statue of Unity is dedicated in the memory of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, who devoted his life to unite small states of the country and brought them under a single Umbrella India.
Grewal said that BJP workers to help for the success and tell the importance of this Marathon by visiting people door to door. He also stressed that the people of Punjab will also be got associated in the signature programmes to seek their help to collect steel and Soil for the construction of 182 meter Statue in Gujarat. He said that in this way they feel proud of their contribution for the construction of Statue of Unity. He said that Marathon will be organised on December 15 at 9 am in which Om Prakash Dhankar, National President of BJP Kisan Morcha and All India Convener of Loh Sangreh Committee, will also take part.  
He also informed that people of Punjab, villagers, BJP workers, students of different schools and colleges, members of different social organisations shall also participate in this Marathon.
