Ludhiana News/Statues of Milkha Singh & Dhyan Chand to be installed at Jarkhar village

Ludhiana: The statues of legendary athlete Milkha Singh and hockey wizard Dhyan Chand are to be installed at Jarkhar village, on Ludhiana-Malerkotla road.
According to available information, the organisers of the Jarkhar Sports Festival, have resolved to install these statues on both sides of the gate of the main stadium.
A press release said the statues are being prepared at a cost of Rs 7.5 lakh. It further said Milkha Singh and former hockey star Ashok Kumar, son of Dhyan Chand, will unveil the statues.
It is believed that sports lovers in and around Ludhiana and in other parts of the state will get attracted to see statues of both Milkha Singh and Dhyan Chand.
