Ludhiana/Punjab News- SGPC president’s son dies;  cremation on October 8

Ludhiana, October 7, 2013: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari today expressed profound grief over the sad and tragic death of Tejinderpal Singh Soni, the youngest son of SGPC president Jathedar Avatar Singh Makkar.
In a condolence message to the bereaved family, Tewari said, he was shocked to learn about the untimely death of Tejinderpal who died in the prime of his youth leaving behind a young widow and two children.
Praying for the peace to the departed soul, Tewari said, he and his party stood by the bereaved family at this hour of grief.

MEANWHILE, another report said Tejinderpal Singh Soni was 38 years old. He had been sick for the past sometime following which he had been undergoing treatment at PGI, Chandigarh.

Cremation of Tejinderpal Singh Soni will take place at 11 am on October 8 at the local Model Town Extension cremation ground, according to information received by www.cityairnews.com

The office-bearers and members of SGPC have expressed deep concern over the death and sympathies with the aggrieved family.

Chandigarh: Former Punjab Chief Minister and permanent invitee to the Congress Working Committee Capt Amarinder Singh today condoled the sad and untimely death of Tejinderpal Singh Soni, the son of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, President Avatar Singh Makkar.
In a condolence message, Capt Amarinder said, he shared the grief of Makkar and his family as it was a tragic loss that a young man had lost his life in the prime of his youth. He prayed for the peace to the departed soul.

Chandigarh: The Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad and untimely demise of Tejinderpal Singh Soni who passed away in the prime of his youth. Sharing his heart felt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, friends and relatives, Badal prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of grief.

Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and Information& Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia also mourned the passing away of Tejinderpal Singh Soni and shared their heartfelt condolences with the family.
