Hyderabad, December 1, 2015: Mathadventures from Bangalore and EdgeFx from Hyderabad were the two women led startups among the total ten pitches made at just concluded Angels Summit were identified as Innovative Projects and presented rupees one lakh cheque of each informed Sita Pallacholla, founder& CEO of The Angel Hub in a press note issued in city today.

Vidya Jayaraman Founder of MathAdventures Education LLP and Kamini Gupta, Chief Executive Officer & Strategist received the prize amount.  Meghana Jupally, Executive Director My Home Constructions and Amarnath from the Government of Telangana and Aruna Reddy from ISB presented cheques to them.

These were the two startups among the ten who made pitches emerged as winners and walked away with prize money of Rs one lakh each.  The women founder startups from many towns across India such as Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad pitched at the summit.

These startups who pitched at the summit include: YourDost, ONganic Foods, rideIT, LearnMor, GreenArt/Lux Packing,  Edgefx Technologies, Cleanse High, Woman safety,  MathsAdventure, and ReviewOwner

Shwetha Singh, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Sol Primero; Radha Kizhanattam, Principal, Unitus Seed Fund; Ramana Gogula, Investing and Operating Team, Unitus Seed Fund, CEO at Earthen Glow; Annie Mathew, Head of Partnerships, Startup Village, AP Innovation Society; Mandar Gadkari, Global Manager, Cross Border Angels and J.A Chowdary, Chairman, Talent Sprint were the judges who picked up the above two companies for their innovation.

Vidya of MathAdventures, the founder who received the one lakh cheque at the Angels Summit is a Chemical Engineer from NIT Surathkal. She is passionate about Maths and has over 16 years of experience working with children with a focus on making Maths easy and enjoyable.

Kamini Gupta, Chief Executive Officer & Strategist who received the cheque has over 20 years of experience in Strategic Consultation, Marketing and Sales. She started her career as an entrepreneur, set up a training business in 1997 and trained thousands of students in the areas of Electronics, Communications and Electrical Engineering. She discovered that Internet marketing is the platform which would benefit many students than the traditional training. There is nothing more exciting to her than learning new things and making them available for students and thus gain holistic growth and success. She has been associated with offering live projects to Engineering students since 1998. Kamini has built two successful offline businesses using online marketing techniques before moving completely to online business model.

Angel Summit was a one day Global Conference that brought together inspiring women in Tech, Business, Arts, Sports, Politics and connect them with aspiring people. It was held at ISB. It was organised in support with Telangana Government and Indian School of Business (ISB).

The Startup pitches will be held in two spells before noon and afternoon.

Sita Pallacholla, founder& CEO of The Angel Hub, says, “The one-day conference had women from various fields such as business, art, technology and cinema with the objective to bring innovative and inspiring minds across the globe together to discuss women-centric issues to foster awareness, inspiration and turn ideas that matter into action. There were 700 participants, 20 speakers, 20 investors and 10 women led startups pitched.
