MEMORIES- Death of Bollywood Actor Pran – A great loss

Jalandhar, July 15, 2013: Veteran Bollywood actor is no more. However, his memories are still alive in the hearts and minds of people. His death is a great loss to Bollywood. His fans too have faced a setback.

Recalling him, local advocate and old timer Diwan Chand Mohindru said he had been watching Pran‘s movies when he was a teenager. He still recalls roles played of villains played by Pran in the Hindi movies. People had never preferred to name their children as “Pran” only because of roles of bad characters played in the movies by Pran, he recalled.

City-based businessman Rahul Seth said Pran was a great actor. No other actor could match him, he said, adding he had been watching Pran’s movies over the decades. He said he could never forget the great actor.

Sports businessman Sunil Chowdhary said Pran had played such a role that could never be played by any other artist.

BJP national executive member Manoranjan Kalia, MLA, said Pran had always been fit in all kinds of roles. He said Pran had acted as actor, villain and character artist. He said Pran would always remain alive in memories of people.
