Ferozepur, October 25, 2012: There was a panic in the Housing Board Colony Ferozepur City at Dashera celebrations when cracker burst on a young boy, Gurpreet Pal Singh, a resident of Dashmesh Nagar, while giving fire to the Ravan's effigy and his ear was blown in the air.
Gurpreet Pal Singh was immediately shifted to the Civil Hospital situated at a stone's throw and after giving his first aid, he was referred to the private hospital.
As per the sources, besides Gurpreet Pal Singh, two persons were also reported to have minor injuries with the sparking of crackers, who were released after giving them the first aid.
Dashera Committees have demanded that the during the Dushera festival, the government should make proper safety arrangements of the people.
