Mission Smile- UMEED free treatment programme launched at Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana

Ludhiana, January 7, 2017: Department of Plastic surgery under Dr.Nitin Sethi has started a unique programme in association with Fortis Foundation. Under this programme, patients suffering from cleft lip and palate would be operated free of cost. The cost of this treatment would be borne by the Fortis foundation in association with Mission Smile.

On occasion of the discharge of the first patient operated under this programme, Dr.Sethi, thanked the Fortis foundation and the Mission smile group for supporting this noble cause. He also informed that the first patient operated under this programme was a very challenging case, as the child had numerous other problems and decreased mouth opening. He highlighted the state of the art facilities available at the hospital for such patients.

Mr. Vivan Singh Gill, Director Fortis Hospital Ludhiana encouraged all present to send such patients to the department so more and more patients could benefit from this programme.
