Chandigarh, February 22, 2013: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has disposed off 50 complaints out of total 71 received by it during the course of Moga bye-election.

Disclosing this here today, the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab said that the ECI has been meticulously scrutinising all the complaints and 50 complaints have been disposed off till now, out of total 71 complaints.

She further said that the complaints regarding the violation of Modal Code of Conduct have been pouring in everyday on behalf of different political parties and other individuals. She said that the considering the gravity of the complaints, the cases are being dealt at the highest level.

She said that the Election commission has received the highest number of 42 complaints from Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee.
