MONITORING REPORT OF SUMMER PULSES- 2016-L7: KVK AMRITSAR

Ludhiana, June 5, 2017: KVK Amritsar has conducted cluster front line demonstrations on Summer Pulses on an area of 20 ha. The number of beneficiaries of these FLDs was 51. A monitoring team comprising Dr. M.N Singh, Deputy Commissioner (Crop), Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmer welfare, Govt.of India, Dr.D.S Bhatti, Additional Director Extension Education, Dr.R.S Uppal, Professor of Agronomy, Directorate of Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana, Dr.D.S Chinna, Chief Agriculture Officer, Amritsar, Dr.Ashish Murai, Scientist and Mr.Narinder Singh, SRF from Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, visited Amritsar on June 3 for monitoring of FLDs. Dr.B.S Dhillon, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Amritsar, Jagmohan Singh, SMS Soil Science and Dr. Astha, SMS Plant Protection also accompanied the above team. The team visited the FLDs conducted by KVK, Amritsar in villages Nag Nave, Nag Khurd, Nag Kalan and Jahangir. A total of 15 FLDs have been monitored by the above team. The FLDs conducted by the Department of Agriculture were also monitored by the team. The team interacted with the farmers and gave tips for successful cultivation of crop. They also monitored the present crop condition and gave suggestions to the farmers according to their crop situation.
