A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Collaboration in Higher Education and Research being signed between CUHP Dharamsala  and IHBT Palampur on Thursday.

Dharamsala, March 21, 2013:A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Collaboration in Higher Education and Research was signed between the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) Dharamsala  and Institute of Himalayan Bio-Resource Technology (IHBT) Palampur was signed on Thursday at the University Temporary Academic Block in Shahpur, near here .

Prof. Farqan Qamar, Vice Chancellor of Central University said,“Students can now benefit from their collaborative projects and activities aimed at academic exchange and joint research. The two institutes resolved to initiate collaborative research and development programmes in the areas of Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Environmental Sciences and biological sciences.” He said that the MoU formalises two years of interaction and support offered by IHBT to the University. He also expressed hope that the MoU will benefit both the institutions in the future and will achieve new milestone in the realm of research and development activities.

Dr. P. S. Ahuja, Director, IHBT, Palampur, signed a memorandum of understanding with Prof. Farqan Qamar, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP). Chief Scientists of IHBT Dr. Arvind Gulati and Dr Anil Sood, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Yoginder Singh Verma, Registrar, B. R. Dhiman, Dean of School of Social Sciences Prof Arvind K. Agrawal, and other Deans and Heads of the departments, faculty members and students of the university were present on the occasion.
