Muddy Soles, a three-day Sports Event with an objective to encourage sportsmanship to kick off at Open Minds in city from tomorrow

Hyderabad, January 3, 2017: Open Minds, A Birla School, will conduct Sports Event “Muddy Soles 2017” an internal and external sports meet from tomorrow till 6th January here at its campus at Kollur in city.

The objective of the event is to encourage sportsmanship and leadership skills among students through competition informed Padmaja Penmetsa, Life Coach & Chief People Officer in a press note issued in city today

This is the event where schools from around the vicinity are invited to play against one another to carry forward the legacy of sportsmanship. It is a time when all the schools interact with one another with a competing fervor, also with intent to put their best foot forward, sharing the best camaraderie with the others.

About 40 schools are expected to take part in the three day event. They will participate in various sports activities such as track events, football, basketball, tennis, chess and carom Board.

The culmination of Muddy Soles every year is an internal event, where the parents and staff play a friendly cricket match against one another. The tournament will end with prize distribution.

Muddy Soles is spread across 3days from 4th - 6th January. There would be different games happening simultaneously at different locations in the school. It would start with the schools participating in the March Past and the traditional lighting of the torch ceremony in the morning.

Open Minds, Hyderabad will also have their internal sports meet during the same week, where students of all the grades will participate in different events. The 4 houses in the school – Achievers, Believers, Creators and Explorers would also compete for the Inter-House Trophy for the year.
