Nehru Yuvak Kendra plants saplings as a part of Green India Mission at Ferozepur.
Ferozepur, July 12, 2013: In association with the various social clubs in the district, Nehru Yuvak Kendra planted 11000 trees as a part of Green India Mission under the leadership of Sarabjit Singh Bedi, Coordinator NYK to fight climate change.
The tree plantation campaign was started from village Khilichi in collaboration with Dr. Ambedkar Shri Bagga Ram Youth Club in the presence of Naveen Gupta, ADA, District Legal Service Authority and Sarbjit Singh Bedi, Coordinator, NYK.
The clubs in the district planted trees at the common places in the villages, schools, temples, tombs, gurdwaras, cremation ground and on both sides of the roads.
Jaspal Verma, Secretary, Legal Service Authorities put his special efforts to make this campaign a grand success.
