Neva Garments and Altruist Technologies emerge as top two SMEs in Vodafone ‘Drive into the Big League - II’ Chandigarh qualifier

Ludhiana/Chandigarh, September 11, 2012:Vodafone Drive into the Big League– II, a unique property from Vodafone India, saw Vishal Jain, Neva Garments and Anuj Aggarwal, Altruist Technologies emerge as the top two SMEs in the city qualifier.

Of these two winners, Vishal Jain, Neva Garments bagged the first position and will now battle it out in the Grand Finale, to win a one-of-its-kind opportunity to get their company logo placed on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes cars that will race at thesecond season of the motor racing event slated for October 26-28, 2012.

The seven finalists at Chandigarh this evening went through three rigorous rounds of selection process. The contestants were judged by a panel of senior Vodafone officials and an eminent jury including prominent Chandigarhians, Sameer Goel, Chairman –CII, Chandigarh, Summet Vatsayan, President –TiE, Chandigarh and Yashovardhan Saboo, CEO –KDDL Ltd.

The Grand Finale, to be held in Delhi will feature 21 participants battling it out in an 8 part reality television series on leading national channel all through Sept-October 2012. The final winner will be selected by an expert jury who will evaluate the finalists providing them with real situations that each of their businesses could face and how they would work around those situations.

The VodafoneDrive into the Big League – II had received an unprecedented response of over 270,000 entries. This annual business property is a unique initiative from Vodafone India to engage and build relevance with India’s booming SME sector.

In the first season of Vodafone Drive into the Big League, M/S ABC Consultants won the title amongst the 80,000 companies vying for the title and had their logo displayed on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes car that raced in the first Indian Grand Prix.
