Ludhiana, October 17, 2012: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the new Alto 800 in the premises of Stan Wheels on Ferozpur Road here today.
The launching ceremony was performed by The Indian Idol 6 First Runner Up,Devinder Pal Singh in the presence of Gurjit Singh, Gurcharan Singh Wahi (Devinder’s Father and uncle) and hundreds of gathering.
Customers who pre-booked the car, were delivered the keys from Devinderpal alongwith Stan Wheels’ MD Dr. Naresh Malhotra.
Dr Malhotra said, “We choose the young singer for the occasion because he has become the proud for Ludhianvis”.
While talking about the new Alto, he said, “It is the country’s largest selling car for the past eight years and we expect its contemporary design and impressive fuel economy to generate good response in the market”.
He mentioned that as per the company, the car has a reasonable cost. The vehicle has a fuel economy of 22.7 kmpl.
The Director of Company Kahan Malhotra alongwith his father Dr. Naresh Malhotra honours the Devinderpal.
On the occasion, Kahan Malhotra said, “ There are a lot of changes in the new Alto like a new lighter crankshaft, new gearbox”, adding the car had been designed for the youth, and they had seen to it that it was comfortable while driving.
