Ludhiana, December 29, 2016: Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat today urged all NGOs and social organisations to come forward for the welfare of needy and downtrodden people of the society. The Deputy Commissioner said this while speaking to media persons after inaugurating a blood donation camp organised by Samvedna Trust and Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha at Civil Hospital, here today. On this occasion, the Samvedna Trust also handed over 400 blankets, 800 bed sheets and an automatic washer to the District Administration that would be used at the Civil Hospital, here.

During the blood donation camp, more than 100 units of blood were donated by members of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha and Samvedna Trust.

While speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravi Bhagat lauded the efforts of NGO, Samvedna Trust for contributing for the development of Civil Hospital. He said that the 400 blankets and 800 bed sheets would be used by the patients who come for treatment at Civil Hospital, here and the automatic washer would be used to clean these bed sheets and other clothing material used in the Civil Hospital.

Samvedna Trust President Mr Ravinder Arora assured the Deputy Commissioner that they would continue to support the District Administration in all their endeavors that have been initiated for the welfare of society as a whole.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Ludhiana Improvement Trust chairman Dr Subhash Gupta, prominent industrialist Mr Onkar Singh Pahwa, Dr Vikas Jindal, Mr Vijay Dadu, Mr Kamal Sharma, Mr Gurdev Sharma Debi, besides several others.
