NR Group invites for registration for Open Golf Championship 2017 at Mercara Downs Golf Club

Bengaluru, May 18, 2017: NR Group, makers of Cycle Pure Agarbathies, is all set to host its annual open golf championship for the year, scheduled on June 4, 2017. Titled as “NR Golf Open”, the state level event is organized at Mercara Downs Golf Club, Madikeri. The agarbathi to aerospace conglomerate actively encourages various forms of sports across India.

The tournament, hosted completely by Cycle Pure Agarbathies is hoping to witness more than 250 golf enthusiasts participating in 7 categories. The tournament will be teed off on June 4, 2017 by Mr. Arjun Ranga, Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathies. The event is inviting registration from golfers across the state to take part in the championship which will close on June 1, 2017.

The NR Group Golf championship is an open invitation for registration to all golfers mainly from Mysuru, Mandya, Bengaluru, Coorg, Chikamagalur, Ooty and Kodaikanal. This year, the participants of this prestigious championship will compete in 7 categories, which include:

Open Stroke play
Handicap Stroke play 0-18
Handicap Stable ford 0-18
Handicap Stable ford 19-36
Seniors Handicap Stable ford (Full handicap above 60 years)
Stable ford Doubles (Team Event Handicap 0-24)

On the occasion, I K Anil, Captain of the Mercara Downs Golf Club said that “The club is honoured to have NR Group as sponsor for the event. NR Group’s contribution towards sports be it cricket or golf has been enormous. Their maiden venture to sponsor this prestigious event in Coorg is truly commendable. This is also an encouragement to rural golfing talent”.

Elaborating on the association, Mr. Arjun Ranga, Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathies said, “Cycle Pure as always has been inclined towards encouraging various sports in all ways possible. Hosting the golf tournament is an extension of our commitment of promoting the game. We hope we can create a niche platform for talent across the state and help them grow.”
