Chandigarh, July 6, 2015: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh would conduct admission to the courses of B.Ed.(General), B.Ed. (Yoga) and B.Ed. Special Education (Mental Retardation) for the session 2015-2017 in the affiliated colleges located in Union Territory, Chandigarh.
Online application forms and counseling schedule for the same would be available at website http://bedadmissions.puchd.ac.in with effect from July 8, 2015 (Afternoon). The Fee for the application form would be Rs. 1200/- with a relaxation of Rs. 600/- for SC/ST categories. B.Ed Prospectus would also become available from July 8.
Candidates with at least 50 % marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s degree or any other qualification declared equivalent thereto, would be eligible for admission to the programme. There shall be a relaxation of 5 % marks in
favour of SC/ST/BC candidates. Candidate with less than 45% marks belonging to these categories shall not be eligible.
Announcing the admission policy in Colleges of Union Territory, Chandigarh, PU Spokesman said that out of the total sanctioned intake of the institutions 60 percent seats will be filled up from amongst the Chandigarh UT students and 40 percent seats would be for General Pool, which would be filled from amongst the students who pass their qualifying examination from the recognized institutions other than those located in the Union Territory of Chandigarh or otherwise. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
