Police Officials to have direct communications with the voters to have their minds fearless

Ludhiana January 20, 2017: Five general and Three Police Observers appointed by the Election Commission of India for the Punjab Assembly Elections scheduled to be on 4 feb., 2017 had a meeting with District Election Officer Cum Deputy Commissioner Sh.Ravi Bhagat, Police Officials, Returning Officers and other Nodal Officers at the Bhachat Bhawan today.

During the meeting, General Observers Sh. Prabhat Kumar Sarangi, Sh. Hari Om, Sh. Himanshu, Sh. Hemant Kumar, Sh. Arvind Meena, Police Observers Smt. Bhawana Saxsena, Sh. Amit Kumar Sinha and Sh. K.P.Singh reviewed the election process. They instructed to follow the modal code of conduct strictly for the assembly elections, 2017. They inspired to have a fair and transparent election. They asked to have direct communication with them in case of any difficulty. Observers showed faith in the Election arrangements of the city. The Observers jointly instructed to have 100 percent voting. Besides, the Police Officials of the sensitive areas can have direct communication with the voters to have voters’ minds free from fear where the voters can be influenced by the candidate or by the influential people.

On this occasion, District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Sh. Ravi Bhagat and Returning Officers and Police Officials apprised them with the work done for the elections in all the Assembly Constituencies of the district and assured them to have a fair, transparent and the successful elections.. Prior to that, videos related to election arrangement and voter awareness by the the district administration Ludhiana were also displayed. Police Commissioner Sh. Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Deputy Commissioner Police Sh. Mandeep Singh Sandhu, SSP Ludhiana (Rural) Sh. Upinderjit Singh Ghuman, SSP Khanna Sh. Satinder Singh, Additional District Election Officer cum Additional Deputy Commissioner (w) Ms. Apneet Riyat, Returning Officers, Police Officers and Nodal Officers of various committees were also present.
